Owing to the constraints of the casting process, the stirrups and leathers come on a separate sprue, can be cut to length as desired, and glued into a cunning indentation in the flank of each horse. Alternatively, leave the leathers longer and bend them, and they can be thrown up over the saddle. (This practice avoided loose dangling stirrups getting tangled up - an eventuality that could prove fatal in a hasty scrambled remount and withdrawal).
These two alternative stirrup arrangements can be seen in the pictures of the two grazing horses.

Note: The stirrups sprue is cast with the stirrups themselves just in contact with each other. You will need to carefully separate these out with a sharp craft knife before cutting the leathers from the sprue at the desired length.

Between our existing dismounted 'The Flying Picquets', the mounted 'The Bold Dragooners', and this horse holder set, you can now portray an entire echelon of Bloody dragoons on the tabletop.
